Bergamasca IGT Bianco ---

Bergamo's wine production is not limited to Protected Designations of Origin, but also includes a Protected Geographical Indication: Bergamasca. Specifically, vineyards extend for about seventy kilometers from the Adda River to Lake Iseo, as well as in hilly areas such as Valle Cavallina, the lower Valle Camonica from Lovere to Rogno, the western shore of Lake Iseo, Valle Seriana and Valle Brembana, all of which are, of course, Bergamo territories. Bergamasca IGT white wine must be composed of at least 85% grape varieties authorized for the province of Bergamo, and the regulations govern its various production phases, including an alcohol content of 11°. This wine has a straw yellow color, and suggested pairings are fish, vegetables and first courses.
