The Portico with Large Columns ---

Following some renovation work at the "Da Mimmo" restaurant, a Roman-era wall approximately 7 meters below the current street level was discovered. To the south of the wall, two square structures measuring 1.30 m per side were found, spaced 3 meters apart from each other: these are the foundations of columns from a building of considerable importance that likely served a public function. It is believed that its portico with large columns overlooked the main street of the Roman city.
