Church of S. Erasmo Vescovo Martire ---
A subsidiary of the Santa Grata Inter Vites parish, the small Church of S. Erasmo can be considered one of the most fascinating in Bergamo. From the facade itself, mostly in irregular ashlar stone, it strikes for its ancient and austere appearance. The entrance portal is rectangular, flanked by two small windows and topped by a fresco depicting the saint and the Virgin, itself beneath a large window. On the wall one can still clearly see the round arches of three ancient entrances, subsequently walled up. The church shows simplicity also from an architectural point of view: it possesses in fact a rectangular floor plan with a single nave, covered by a very low vault. Inside one can admire a neoclassical altar, a wooden choir
