Church of SS. Bartolomeo and Stefano ---

At the end of the eastern arm of the Sentierone you can visit the Church of Saints Bartolomeo and Stefano, built for the Dominican Order in the first half of the 17th century according to a design by architect Antonio Maria Caneva. The Dominican Order was not the first religious community to inhabit this place; the site previously belonged to a community of the Humiliati Order. The structure at that time was more complex and included a church and farmhouses. Observing the exterior of the Church, you will notice the successive building periods of the edifice: the imitation Baroque façade was redone in 1897, the external portico on the left in 1942, and the side on Via Tasso dates from the 19th century. Once you cross the threshold, you will find a single nave with five chapels
