
Chamber of Commerce ---
The institutional headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce is located in Bergamo Bassa, within the complex that is today considered the "drawing room of the city," the focal point of strolling and commerce. Its history is closely tied to that of the Centro Piacentiniano: it was indeed designed by architects Piacentini and Angelini (1912-1927) precisely to be an administrative center that would include the Palace of Justice, the Bank of Italy, and the Chamber of Commerce. In the area where it stands today, city fairs were once held, which attracted merchants and exhibitors not only from the city, but also from the valleys and the plain. As centuries passed, its use gradually diminished until it was limited only to fair periods; in the early 1900s, the area found itself in a situation
