The ancient Tre Gobbi trattoria is a venue steeped in century-old tradition, deeply connected to one of Bergamo's most illustrious figures: composer Gaetano Donizetti. It was run by innkeeper Michele Bettinelli (1792-1868), a friend of artists and in particular a friend and admirer of Gaetano Donizetti, to the extent that the great musician is known to have been a regular visitor to the establishment when he was in the city.
