Birra Orobia ---

In 1879 Heinrich von Wunster founded von Wunster beer in Seriate (BG). After closure during World War I, the factory reopened in 1936 in Bergamo as Birra Orobia, in line with fascist laws on Italian names. In the 1960s it became Birra Wunster Spa, growing until its relocation to Comun Nuovo (BG) in the 1980s. Sold in 1986 to Stella Artois and then to Heineken, the relaunch of craft production occurred in 2011, under the guidance of Alberto von Wunster.
