Azienda Agricola La Sella was founded in 2015, after three years of practice to specialize in saffron production. The saffron plant adapts well to the mountain environment, especially on sunny slopes, and is often used to reclaim marginal lands that have been abandoned or are at risk of abandonment. The spice is also known for its properties: it is in fact a formidable natural antioxidant, rich in vitamins B1 and B2 which, by contributing to fat metabolism, make it an excellent digestive aid as well. Currently the company produces only saffron, but will soon begin production of truffles: uncinato, summer, and prized varieties. Here it is possible to purchase products directly from the farm by appointment.
