Located in Nembro and situated on a hillside, from the outside you can enjoy a very beautiful view of the entire valley. It can be reached with a fairly easy walk and along the mule track that leads up to the church are the shrines of the Mysteries of the Rosary. The Santuario della Madonna dello Zuccarello was founded in 1374 at the behest of the nobleman Bernardo Vitalba and remained the property of the Vitalba family until the mid-nineteenth century. Originally a simple chapel was built adjoining the walls of the noble residence and the first enlargement was made around the sixteenth century with the last dating back to the early decades of the twentieth century.
