The Santuario della Madonna della Torre is considered one of the oldest, as well as most beautiful, sanctuaries in the Diocese of Bergamo. It is said that its origins date back to the Emperor Charlemagne in the year 801. The interior with three naves is an authentic art gallery, rich with beautiful paintings, some of which are of absolute value. The main altar, in polychrome marble, modeled and decorated with inlay work by Fantoni, is topped at the center by a small tribune with the fresco depicting the Madonna. The numerous ex votos, many of which lined the walls of the Angel's chapel on the road to the Sanctuary, testify to the trust that local faithful have placed in their Madonna for centuries.
