Rifugio Mario Merelli al Coca ---

Erected in 1919 as a tribute to the CAI members who fell in the Great War just concluded, Rifugio Coca is located in the municipality of Valbondione, in Val Seriara, at an elevation of 1892 meters. It stands at the entrance to the "Conca dei Giganti", where all the major mountains of the Orobian group rise up, such as Pizzo Coca, Redorta and Porola. It is a starting point for reaching Lago Coca or the Ghiacciaio del Lupo, the largest Orobian reserve, and a passage point for those heading to Curò or Brunone.
