Rifugio Fratelli Calvi ---

Located at 2020 m, surrounded by numerous alpine lakes, reserves of crystal-clear water of unique beauty, in the heart of one of the most beautiful valleys in the entire Orobian arc, where all the peaks of Val Brembana converge, such as the imposing Diavolo di Tenda. Access is from Carona along trail 210, a largely unpaved path with fairly regular slope up to Lago di Fregabolgia: from the lake you need only climb to the top of the dam and skirt the lake, reaching the refuge in about 3 hours. Also reachable from the Pagliari hamlet via trail 247, commonly called the "summer trail", entirely unpaved and through the forest. The refuge is an excellent base for hiking and mountaineering excursions of varying difficulty and for various ski touring routes.
