First stop on the Sentiero delle Orobie Orientali ring trail, Rifugio Alpe Corte is called the barrier-free refuge, because it is suitable for groups, families with children and equipped to welcome enthusiasts with motor difficulties. At 1410 m, it is always open and frequented both in summer and winter, and is an excellent starting point to reach Lago Branchino, at 1784m. Starting from Valcanale it can be reached in an hour's walk along trail 220 which winds through the woods.
