Housed in the Castello Giovanelli, a late 17th-century building that is an integral part of the medieval village of Luzzana, since 2003 the Museum of Contemporary Art, with over 220 works donated by master sculptor Alberto Meli and painter Ester Gaini Meli, his wife, pays homage to the two artists who, through their work, demonstrated a sincere attachment to the traditions of their childhood places. A fascinating path: from the neoclassical sculptures of Giosuè Meli to the Dada works of Arp, Richter, Probst and Valenti, to the narrative journey created by Alberto Meli and Ester Gaini with their compelling messages still alive and relevant today. The visit continues outdoors among art, history and nature along the route of the dispersed museum, with visits to the Parco del Gigante and its corresponding rock sculpture.
