Monastery of San Bernardino ---

The Monastery of San Bernardino, consecrated to San Bernardino da Siena, stands in Caravaggio and comprises the church of San Bernardino and the convent of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Internally, the church consists of a single nave, on whose left side three small polygonal chapels open up. In the first chapel beside the nave, dedicated to the Madonna, there are some frescoes whose author is uncertain but are attributed to the Treviglio painters Bernardo Zenale and Bernardino Butinone. On the wall dividing the nave dedicated to the faithful, visitors will be able to admire the Cycle of the Passion by Fermo Stella, recently restored.
