Liceo Classico Paolo Sarpi Ex-convento S. Maria di Rosate ---
From 1815 to 1859, with the annexation to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Bergamo was part of the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia. This palace, built in the years 1841-1846 in neoclassical style by Ferdinando Crivelli, was commissioned by the Austrian government as the seat of the Imperial Royal High School, the highest educational institution in Bergamo. The High School educated the city's ruling class between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, who remained active in the civic and professional life of the city of Bergamo.
