Loreto Island ---

Located north of Montisola, Loreto Island was once a meeting place for fishermen, merchants and pilgrims who reached the legendary female cloister and its attached sanctuary. Due to the scarcity of documents on the subject, the island's history remains almost entirely unknown until 1910, the year in which the knight Vincenzo Richieri decided to build a castle in neogothic style, today a private residence.
