
Chiesa della Beata Vergine del Paradiso ---
In the historic center of Clusone, you will find the Chiesa del Paradiso. Built as an extension of a monastery in the 13th century, it owes its present appearance to various structural and decorative interventions between the 18th and 20th centuries. Located in Piazza Paradiso, it preserves valuable works of art within its walls. The bare and austere façade conceals, in fact, an interior rich in paintings, chapels and evocative works. Of particular beauty is certainly the 15th-century fresco depicting the Madonna Addolorata, a distinctive and deeply devotional representation of Marian sorrow, as well as numerous works by Clusone sculptors, chasers, carvers and painters, including Carpinoni, Cifrondi, Galizzi and Brighenti.
