Martinengo Castle ---

As in other towns in the Bergamo area, Martinengo has numerous examples of the characteristic ring-shaped urban layout, where the fortification of the village and a deep moat protected the country's buildings. Arriving at the heart of Martinengo, to the left of the municipal palace we find via Castello. It is sufficient to walk just a few meters to admire a majestic tower of fifteenth-century origin: it is all that remains of an ancient fortress that belonged to the Martinengo-Colleoni family.
